Jacopo Siliprandi Phi

Jacopo completed his MPhys in Mathematical Physics at Heriot-Watt University in 2016. During his undergraduate years he worked in the field of biomedical optics with Professor Robert Thomson.

In collaboration with the University of Edinburgh, Jacopo focused on the fabrication of stem cells scaffolds using ultrafast laser technology. His Master’s year dissertation involved the design, fabrication, and testing of scanning tips for endomicroscopy.

Jacopo worked on the biological risks in the horticultural trade network under the supervision of Prof Philip Hulme at Lincoln University, New Zealand before coming back to Heriot-Watt where he is now looking at aberration compensation in high refractive index materials and at the fabrication of photonic lattices using ULI.
