The PHotonic Instrumentation (PHI) Group is based within the Institute of Photonics and Quantum Sciences (IPaQS) in the School of Engineering & Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University.
Our research focuses on the development of next-generation photonic instruments with bespoke functionalities for multidisciplinary applications ranging from clinical photonics, astrophotonics, quantum optics, designed and fabricated by ultrafast laser inscription and ultrafast laser-assisted etching.
