Aurélien joined the group as a RA in November 2017.
He completed his PhD thesis in April 2015 at Xlim Research Institute in the University of Limoges, in France. His research was concerned on the development of high average power pulsed fiber laser.
So on, he investigated the aperiodic large-pitch rod-type fiber for the amplifier stage and used this high average short-pulsed power to generate high power broadband Raman combs or single laser lines in gas-filled hollow-core photonic crystal fibers used as a frequency conversion stage.
Aurélien’s current research interests are all kind of photonics lanterns and of ULI 2D/3D photonic devices to target several astrophotonics applications.
