Thibaud obtained a Master’s degree in Astrophysics (MAUCA) at the Observatory Côte d’Azur. His master thesis was about galaxy cluster membership using machine learning techniques.
He joined the group in May 2023. His PhD will focus on the development of new photonic technologies for exoplanet science. Unlike conventional approaches, the use of single-mode integrated field units has the potential to increase the contrast of spectral imaging of planetary systems.
The goal of the PhD is to test these new technologies on telescopes equipped with adaptive optics systems.
