Calum Ross joined the group as a PhD student in October 2015.
During his PhD research, Calum worked on th10:31 20/11/2023e development and fabrication of a miniaturised fibre-optic Raman probe for applications in optical biopsy instruments.
He has finished his PhD in July 2019 after be awarded the Photonics21 “Prototype your ideas” contest.
Now an RA, he continues to develop photonic instrumentation for a wide range of applications including astrophotonics, biomedical instrumentation and material science.
